Where to?
An accessible space for crafters and designers to connect
For many years Ravelry has been the place for independent designers, spinners and dyers to sell their amazing work. Many designer's livelihood has relied on this site. However, with the recent accessibility problems with Ravelry, many are choosing to find alternative platforms to sell their work either in place or in addition to Ravelry. If you would like to support their efforts here Is a handy guide. Please be aware many of the designers are in the process of making their work available on alternative platforms. Visiting designer's websites, signing up for their Newsletter and following on social media will help you stay up to date on their efforts AND show your support for their commitment to inclusion and accessibility.

Knit Dance RepeatSile, pronounced Sheila, is an Irish Dancer and Knit Designer. Her cable designs are not to be missed. You can purchase her patterns on Lovecraft and Payhip. Soon her payhip will be integrated with her blog. |
KniterationsAllison Mahoney is a Canadian designer. She is often found with a knitting bag, calculator and a pint. Allison offers wearable accessory that play with color and texture to create interesting designs. |

A graphic artist living in Portland, OR, Lee has beend designing accessories since 2007. Her work uses bold color and inspired stitch patterns to create bautiful and unexpected textures. No. Seriously there is no other kind of sock knitter) Louise believes life is stressful, knitting should not be. Her designs are fuss free and mix of approachable colorwork and classic cables. |
Mainly CardigansCardigan and cable lovers, there is a designer just for you. Linda Cooper of Brisbaine, Australia specializes in designing these ever useful garments. She draws upon the Aran sweater traditions to combine cables in unique ways. Her work shows that cardigans and cables are a perfect match made in wool. |
That Metzbower Girl DesignsThat Metzbower Girl Designs has been offering a full range of knitwear and accessories for 10 years. Melissa Metzbowers's pattern are both beautiful and practical, designed to fulfill a need. Her work features lacy details and often combines color blocking with with captivating textures. And, to me many of her knitwear evoke a retro aesthetics while never feeling dated. |
